Twelve independent fair bits fill a board with three rows and four columns, in row-major order. One is occupied and zero is empty. One complete hidden board is sampled at the start and revealed automatically, one cell per step. You do not choose a cell or relocate occupied cells. Terminal reward is the number of occupied groups connected by shared sides. Diagonals do not connect. Count groups, not occupied cells. An empty board rewards zero. A later occupied cell can join formerly separate groups, so more revealed occupied cells need not mean a higher reward or quote.
